Orvieto, Italy

January 31, 2016

From the sloping hills and never-ending vineyards, to the cobblestone alleys and street side cafes, Orvieto is everything I imagined when I pictured the perfect Italian town.

We woke up at 7:30 (ok, 7:45 really), ran to the train station, took a 1.5 hour train ride from Rome and we were in Orvieto before lunch. It was an idyllic day trip. We walked through the town exploring small shops and local architecture, took a wine tasting tour, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

The photos below were taken by me and my friend John. I have a 30mm lens and he has a 10-18mm so together we have the best of both worlds. Not sure what we would have done without him and his wide angle lens for these views.
