West Village Apartment

This studio is only a little over 200 square feet so the goal was to maximize every inch of space without compromising comfort and functionality.

Although it turns out it is in fact impossible to make a one-bedroom apartment out of a studio, I finally settled on an ideal space use plan.

I primarily selected neutral tones to create an illusion of space and enhance the limited natural light coming in from the windows.

Multi-functional furniture pieces, such as a convertible twin-to-king bed and customized storage kitchen island, were designed to custom fit the space and optimize versatility. Storage solutions were integrated into the design, including built-in shelving units and rolling storage compartments. Finally, colorful pops of color and decorative mirrors were incorporated to add depth and character to the space.
